|New TV trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises' unveiled – video|
A new TV trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has been unveiled. Scroll down to watch the 30 second clip.
The trailer, which is currently being broadcast on US TV, features Michael Caine's character Alfred telling Bruce Wayne: "You're not Batman anymore."
Earlier today Christian Bale hinted at his character Bruce Wayne's story in the forthcoming film. The actor will play the billionaire superhero vigilante for the third and final time in Christopher Nolan's next Batman movie. And now he has revealed that the murder of his parents when he was a child still motivates him.
Bale told HitFix: "He doesn't want to forget [his parents' deaths]. He wants to maintain that anger he felt at that injustice. But equally he wants to present this very vacuous, soulless persona to Gotham, so that hopefully no-one will suspect him but will just think he's a spoiled bastard."
Bale added that Wayne will have to "relearn" how to live, having missed out on so much life experience. He said: "At some point, he's got to start living. He is seriously behind in terms of life and enjoyment of life. That's all been sacrificed and at some point, hopefully it's Alfred's wish that he will start to live again."
The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20.
