Lomography Street Walk Fox & Squirrel’s Lomography Street Photography walk is a great way to transform the way you see London and your surroundings.
Explore the street’s potential with analogue Lomography Cameras, using film to bring out interesting colours and textures. A ‘warm up’ exercise will get you into the mood and open your mind to the potential around you, while two mini projects in the area will help refine your style. These will include looking at colours, composition and the art of capturing the ‘fleeting moment’. Award winning photographers, Eleanor Church and Stuart Beesley, will be guiding the walk and on hand to talk through any ideas, thoughts or questions that you have throughout the walk. Using the camera on your smartphone, your compact camera or your SLR, Fox&Squirrel’s Street Photography walk will enable you to capture shots you didn’t know even existed.
Street Photography has become an increasingly popular way to create art out of the everyday. A photograph that catches a fleeting moment can create a whole story within it. Following a short introduction into the theory and history of Street Photography, you will be guided through East London and set a series of exercises to develop your eye. Support and discussions with the guide will take place throughout the day. The walk will start at Allpress Cafe on Redchurch street and finish at Kings Cross St Pancras.
